About
As a contract illustrator and animator, Annette's clients include Fisher Price, LeapFrog, Johnson & Johnson, BinaryLabs, San Diego Union Tribune, AcuSport, San Diego MS Society, Starfall and many others.
Growing up in rural Idaho, Annette practiced her creative skills by sculpting hamburger in her fathers grocery store. She went on to college in Boise, then Honolulu, HI. With a need for adventure, she took the chance to paint and explore in Paris, France before settling in San Diego. Employed as an illustrator by MediaShare, Josten's Learning, then Compass Learning, she created interactive educational software for 10 years. And as a Lead Illustrator, she managed up to 20 artists at a time.
Award winning work done for Fisher Price on the I Can Play Piano, and I Can Play Guitar interactive toys, and a PCom Gold Award with CreativeShake.com has kept her busy illustrating and animating in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash. Her work has been chosen from hundreds of entries and featured in two Aquent promotional calendars, the latest one coming out for 2011.
Annette's illustrations are done in traditional graphite, watercolor, digital media, or a combination of the three. Most recently, she illustrated two picture books for Starfall, one in watercolor, and the other digitally.
